The Kid Power Bike, developed by Hands On Gainesville, has been greeted with enthusiasm at schools and festivals around Gainesville. The Kid Power Bike has an electric generator driven by the back wheel, and when pedaled, will turn on light bulbs and fans. Children learn about electricity generation and energy transformations. Contact us if you would like to schedule the Kid Power Bike.

Hands On Gainesville is developing a community project promoting students-as-apprentices as they learn about, blog, and build exhibits that showcase science and technology of our community. We immerse students in hands-on science with the belief that 'learning by doing' leads to better understanding and an informed, productive citizenry. We are a nonprofit corporation.
